Ships

This is a picture story. As a brief explanation if you do not quite know what is happening, the overview is this; A young man is about to get married, he receives a letter informing him of urgent business in a different country. He is a spy. one of his 'accomplices' is a traitor and gives information to the government concerning his whereabouts. He is caught. he has permission to write one letter to his family and writes to his bride to be, telling her that he is captured. The young lady upon receiving this letter goes out by herself to think it over. While walking she is spotted by some robbers who, seeing her fancy clothes think it would be worthwhile to ransom her. She is confined and made to do their mending. She makes two escape attempts. Both fail. The robbers take more precautions. She despairs, then is rescued by her husband to be, (who escaped from his prison by means of knocking out the guard with his own food tray.) They then return home and are married. The end
